I LOVE spring weddings! I get so excited when winter is over and nature starts coming back to life. There's something so refreshing about this season. That might have something to with why my own wedding anniversary is in May. *wink*
This weekend's wedding took place at the Texas Star Golf Course in Euless. The colors were blushes and blues, which are represented with a variety of handmade wafer paper flowers. I made the leaves from fondant. It's a buttercream cake with alternating textures. I love how the smooth lines of the top and bottoms tiers frame the randomness of the center tier.
Every angle of this cake was so beautiful that I couldn't stop taking pictures! I spared you my playtime and kept it down to four. ;)
This was a 10" 2-layer, 8" 4-layer, and 6" 2-layer marble cake with Swiss meringue filling and vanilla buttercream. Yummmm!! If you haven't tried the Swiss meringue, yet, you haven't been living. ;)
